This week I have continued to avoid caffeine no matter what. Let me just say, with 6 a.m. lifting workouts for volleyball every morning during the week, this is not easy to do. I have had a lot of headaches and have actually noticed that I have not been able to lift as much weight as I normally am able to. The energy just is not there which I thought was very interesting. It is definitely not a mental matter. I will be very excited when I can once again drink caffeine.
If you fill as though not having the caffeine is making it hard to you to complete your daily tasks, maybe you should consider a replacement for the caffeine. You could maybe research ways to acquire more energy without caffeine. I think that doing this could also be in addition to your research project.
ReplyDeleteVery Interesting Project! Many people don't think about how important caffeine is to them and how it effects there body. I cut drinking pop out last year to save money, protect my voice when i sing, and because I have difficulty falling asleep at night. I still occasionally have one, but i feel like I appreciate it a lot more now. I will also from time to time drink an energy drink or two on the weekends; that used to not effect me but now it gets me completely wired. I attempted to just quit "cold turkey" and didn't really have any of the negative side effects, but I have heard of others like you getting the whole headache thing, I guess I was just lucky.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what it is like to go from having caffeine everyday and then not to have it all all, but it sounds like it really is affecting you. My only concern is that you monitor how your body is reacting even though we only have a few days left. I bet you will also be extremely excited to have caffeine back in your daily schedule.
